Since Dad and I couldn't think of many rhymes for Arizona or desert, I looked around and found this rather interesting site http://www.learninggamesforkids.com/us_state_games/arizona/. Just wish it didn't include an ad for a drug for ADHD--good grief!

He did that to me once too. I told him I'd give him a present after I finished feeding Ellie. Sure enough as soon as I put her down he said "can we go get my present now" in the sweetest tone.

Good luck with the potty training! We had a lot of luck starting 3 months before our son's 3rd birthday, just letting him run around naked a lot. Eventually he figured it out and was day trained by the week after his 3rd birthday. The book "Diaper Free Before 3" by Jill Lekovic was really helpful. So was getting rid of all of the pull-ups, which he considered to be just like diapers. I'm envious of those people who say their kid trained in one day - most kids I've known take some time to get the hang of it, and still have the occasional set-back (like missing the toilet, or not wiping very well). ;)
