This past Monday I was sitting at the table with Stephen for breakfast when I got up and immediately had hip pain. It is like all the muscles in my hip seized up and I couldn’t walk very well. I iced and stretched and it felt a little better, but then I realized while taking a shower that my shin below my knee is numb. Not all the way, just a little weird. I called my doctor who said it is nothing to worry about yet, but if I was still having it in a week to call back. I called my other doctor friend who offered to cone over and check it out, but it does feel a little better. I haven’t worked out that much after the bike race and it is just a reminder that my body apparently doesn’t like me to be still that much. I am okay now, but still trying to stretch out those muscles and get them to stop seizing up on me. Next week I will start swimming now that my hip feels a little better.
